We started Novobill because Canadian businesses were stuck choosing between legacy banks and US-centric processors. Both were wrong. We built what should have existed.
Make modern, regulated, fairly priced payment infrastructure available to Canadian businesses — without forcing them to compromise on cost, capability, or compliance.
Canadian businesses operate globally. They sell to customers in the US and Europe. They source from suppliers across Asia. They hire contractors across continents. Their cash management is inherently multi-currency and cross-border.
And yet, the financial tools available to them haven't kept up. The big Canadian banks built merchant services around 1995-era card processing and have barely evolved. US-centric processors arrived in Canada to capture the SMB market but treat Canada as a footnote — limited payment methods, US-first APIs, and funds held outside Canadian regulatory protection.
The space between is where most Canadian mid-market businesses live, and where every option is bad.
Novobill exists to fill that gap. We're a Canadian company, federally regulated under the Retail Payment Activities Act, building modern payment infrastructure with a Canadian-first product, support, and compliance posture — but with the global capability that Canadian businesses actually need.
Novobill is headquartered in Canada, with the company incorporated as Novobill Ltd. We're registered with the Bank of Canada under the RPAA (Entity ID RPS0014803) and with FINTRAC as a Money Services Business. Our primary infrastructure runs on Canadian soil; our team works across Canada with hubs in major centers.
